Hi, my name is
Nancy Mullins. I’ve been watching people’s
children for the last 42 years, 32 of
which I have been a State Licensed
Pleasanton Child Care Facility serving the
Dublin, Livermore & Pleasanton area. I have
two of my own children, now ages 42 and
31. I continue to work in childcare because
above all else, it’s about the kids and
their futures.
My
daycare is for children as young as 6 weeks old.
Every family has their own needs, so I am as
accommodating as I can be, and care for
their children for as long as I am needed.
On average, children leave my childcare
program
around preschool or kindergarten age.
Because I care mostly for infants and
toddlers, I do not currently transport
children to school. The Dublin, Livermore
and Pleasanton School District
requires school aged children to be walked
to class, and that is nearly impossible to
do with several babies.
Our family had a room custom built at
the back of our house, expressly for the
needs of the Pleasanton Day Care. There is a Little
Tykes Big Toy in the middle of the spacious
room, which brings hours of enjoyments to
the kids. There are a variety of toys,
music, books, and other age appropriate
activities all to make the kids and parents
feel at ease. We also have story time each
day. Generally, we do not let the kids watch
television; we prefer that they interact
with each other while at the daycare. For naptime, each child has
his or her own bed and blanket. This helps
them to settle down faster, and it helps
prevent the spread of germs.
I am enrolled in the state funded food
program, which helps private childcare
facilities pay for the added
benefit of providing breakfast, lunch, and
an afternoon snack for children one year and
older. Parents of infants will need to
provide formula, jar food and cereal. This
state run daycare program also provides many
seminars and workshops which I attend, where
I learn all the ways to keeps kids healthy,
and how to make sure they get the nutrition
they need to develop properly and to their
fullest potential. Child Care links; now
named Hively, puts a lot of these programs
on.
All parents provide diapers, wipes and a
change of clothes.
There are 2 cats that are very friendly;
even with the occasional tail and fur
pulling by little hands.
Every year I take a CPR class and every
other year I take a health and safety class.
I find that my licensing program puts on
several workshops and classes that I think
benefit the children, so I attend those
often.
My Pleasanton childcare facility is a smoke free environment.
We are not a Pleasanton Preschool.
